On Tuesday 9th October our Green School Committee took part in a ‘walkability’ survey to assess how safe our roads are around the school, traffic/road signage in the area and speed of passing traffic. Together with a representative of Green Schools, a report is current being compiled. This report will be sent to Cork County Council and will be published on our website.
Our Green School Committee conducted a tally to see how our pupils travel to school. This tally was done using ‘balls in a box’. As children arrived at school they were asked to select which method of transport was used – bus, car, walking or cycling.
